Can't scan directory

2013-05-14 14:18:48
I've just installed Logaholic on a new server. and am using the local log files method for updates. However, even though I've specified the location of the log file directories correctly, I get the message Directory Path: /var/log/httpd/ [Directory Path in green] Can't scan directory I've tried doing a manual update, and also tried the "&force=true" method. Each time, I see the following: Log File Info: Log file location: /var/log/httpd/ is a directory. Reading complete directory from start Progress: % Status: Done! Summary update took 0 seconds, total script time took 0 seconds. Added no new records to database. Processed an actual total of 0 log lines. Nothing is getting added to the database, and the logs show empty. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Answer:

Please check if the path to /var/log/httpd/ is allowed in the php setting open_basedir. You can change this in the php.ini or the apache configuration file for your virtual server. You can find instructions here: http://www.logaholic.com/help/42/what-are-the-recommend-the-php-settings I hope this helps!
