Is it possible to build a funnel report with paramaters in the url? (e.g. index.php?source=someplace) I'd like to use funnels for affiliate conversion tracking based on urls.

Answer:

Yes this is possible, the way/order you enter your parameters must match exactly how they are logged in the database.

For example if we are interested in the parameter 'pageid' we can enter the following in the funnel definition:

  • /index?pageid=3

this will work as long as the url is logged exactly like this in the database.

If the actual url looks like this:

  • /index.php?blog=50&pageid=3

the above funnel example won't work.

To check the actual notation of the urls you can look at the "Top Pages Details" report.
