I love it. For someone with multiple sites on a server, the ability to install it once for all the sites is great! One login to check on several sites is just what I was looking for. Better stats and easier to use than the built in stats packages such as Webalizer or Awstats that come with WHM/Cpanel.
I was using Google analytics for some of my sites, but I’ve deleted those accounts. Logaholic provides all the information I need and more - and I’m not tied to whatever Google decides to do - I’m not giving up control over my sites’ information.

Logaholic really is a great piece of software. It is a piece of cake to install and presents all your information in an easy to read format. I was using Awstats before, which while it is good, it can be a confusing interface to view the information.

I’ve used logaholic for nearly a year now and been more than impressed with the results. Many of my clients ask me for the stats for their websites, some require more detail than others, and I spent quite a while trialing many web-based and server-side softwares, some more expensive than others!

Hi Michael,

I downloaded the Logaholic trial version yesterday and it worked like a
charm right away. I use a RaidenHTTPD web server. So I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t work without a massive mail support from Raiden. But it did. The only thing I did was to follow the simple and logical installation instruction in Logaholic and created a virtual host in RaidenHTTPD. Then it was up and running. It can’t be easier!

So after that test I purchased the license.

Counting the Number of Downloads

I didn’t need to know who came to my “Download Now” page like the standard web analytics tools were offering. I needed to know how many people actually clicked the link and downloaded the software — successfully.

This was absolutely our performance metric, and I had to find a solution quickly because the web analytics tools were offering me a “go forward” approach. Generally their strategy is to imbed a bit of code into your web page and they will tell you statistics about traffic on the page from this day forward.

But what I discovered was the information they provided was not the information I needed. In order to count the number of successful downloads I would have to redesign the site to have a “thank you” page after the download and then track the traffic to this new page. Every day we discussed it, we were losing the information on the downloads for that day. I was so desperate not to lose the information.

To my rescue, one of our consultants found Logaholic and came forward with the recommendation to try it. In just a few minutes from receiving the software, I had it installed and had an instant download count across any date back to our Alpha release!

Logaholic provides nice statistics that are not available (easy) by other means like the ‘classic’ Webalizer for example. The GeoIP information is also much appreciated.

With my traffic level, Logaholic is very slow, some reports will not open even waiting for more that 10 min for page to load. It is cheap and it has some great functionality but it is unusable for me. Maybe it would work on websites with less traffic.

Note from Michael: With Logaholic 1.95 we introduced summary tables that make reporting a lot faster, and we’re adding more speed optimizations with each update. However, 95% of our customers don’t have a few GB’s log file data a day

You offer a helpful analysis of our www_logs, with a lot of visual features to make it easy for clients to understand.

If I could manage to get the Visual Mode to actually work, I would recommend especially this feature…. It looks nice on your website, but it does not work for me. Nothing appears.
