What’s new in Logaholic 2.0 ?

Now that Logaholic 2.0 Beta has been released to our test users, I am starting to get a lot of questions from other people who want to know what Logaholic 2.0 is all about before installing the beta.

So, I guess it’s time to reveal some of it!

I could soup up a short list here with what’s new, like a cool new user interface, new Trend Reports, Sales Funnel Analysis, support for SQLite databases and that sort of thing, but where is the fun in that? I would rather give some details about a couple of features that can really make a difference for your online business.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be writing a couple of posts on this blog, and each day I’ll highlight one of these new features in Logaholic 2.0.

Today, I want to tell you about something we’ve called “Filters”.
A simple word for some hardcore web analytics.

Logaholic 2.0 allows you to slice, dice and segment your traffic in any way you want. Filters basically enable you to define a sub-group of visitors and lets you view almost any Logaholic report for these visitors separately. This makes it very easy to isolate groups of visitors that came to your website via a certain ad campaign, for example.

As you know, not all visitors are created equal. Some are better than others and the ones that make you money are the best. The first step in getting more of the right visitors is to know which traffic sources send you the best quality visitors.

Logaholic filters helps you categorize your traffic so you can do in-depth research on visitor behavior for any type of group you want to define.

This is not only great for analyzing the effect of marketing campaings or reporting traffic statistics to an affiliate partner, it’s also great tool to help you improve your website by comparing groups.

In short, Logaholic Filters turns your generic traffic data into a 3D information goldmine :)

We’re still accepting new beta users, so if you want to give Logaholic 2.0 a try make sure to get on the notification list and you’ll still be able to download your copy:

Michael, I have looked at the demo of the current version of logaholic (1.9). It looks great, but has a big problem from my perspective - referrers are linked to hits instead of to visits. Will this be changed in version 2?

Hi David. Yes, In Logaholic 2.0 these reports include the visitor count instead of just requests/hits.
