Today Overview

Today Overview

As the name implies, the Today Overview (sometimes referred to as Today's screen or Dashboard) provides you with a quick overview of your site's performance today.

However, depending on what you have selected in the Date Range, today can be any date from the past. After a month after Logaholic has been installed you will also be able to see the history of your site's performance over the last 31 days. The bar chart will be populated with the statistics of your site visits split into two: the half of this month's and the other half of the previous month's. This provides a very good visual tool to compare the performance of your site in the current month with the one in the previous.

The data above the bar chart contains the number of today's visitors, compared to the overall number of visitors from the current month (up to this date) and the ones from the previous month. The same counts for pages and pages per visit. The ratio of new versus returning visitors is also provided in the description, and just as the other data, it allows you to compare it with the one of the previous month.

The Today Overview screen can be customized to one's needs.

Customize page (next to the Report button): This tool is only applicable to the Today Overview screen. It enables you to add, remove and reposition reports on your Today Overview screen. You can set a default width and the order in which you want the elements (charts) to appear on the screen. You can also reposition these elements visually. Just select a report, hold the mouse button and drag it to a new position. In the Customize menu, select the reports that you want to include on your Today screen and click on the Save button at the bottom when you're done.

"Selected reports": gets populated when you select one or more summary reports to include in your dashboard. From here you can select their width, order and add/remove reports.

"Select dashboard reports": the list of all reports available, which are specifically made for the Today Screen.
