Visitor Filters/Segmentation.

This is a visitor segementation tool. With this tool you can create groups of visitors and view the Logaholic reports for that particular segmented group.

IE: If you create a segment/filter with url = '/segment' than you are actualy saying;
"Give me all users that accessed this file and put those users in a group called XXX".

Next you go to a report and say; "show me these numbers for my XXX group".

For example, let's says you want to see what people do on your site that come from some other site. You could make a filter such as referrer = 'http://www.mypartnersite.com/'. And then view any report, like a conversion report for just the users that came from that site.

That's what a filter does. In our new 2.5 version it's actually called Segmentation rather than just filters, to avoid confusion.

Using filters, you can categorize and segment your traffic any way you want. By creating a filter you can define a group of visitors. In some of the Logaholic reports, you will be able to use the filter to easily see and compare statsistics for just that group of visitors. You can use a filter to define your marketing campaings, try segmenting by googleleads for example, which will show you reports sorted by visitor's traffic solely generated through Google leads.

Other filter categories include Traffic Sources (e.g. traffic generated through link partners) and Segments.
