Page Analysis

In the Page Analysis section you fill find two useful tools for looking into the performance of the pages on your site.

Just like in the other sections, here you can also select a Date Range and a particular page which you want to analyze. You can select a page by typing its name in the Page field and then click on "Visual mode" to see how the attention of visitors ( estimated in clicks) has spread through particular sections of pages on your site. This will help you a lot when redesigning your site.

If you return to "Stats Mode" you will see a Page Analysis of the page you selected. The page analysis works as follows: if you don't select a specific page, and leave the field Page empty, the page analysis gets automatically updated for the home page. The screen is divided in two, where on the left side you see Visitors came from (if it's the home page, this list will contain only referrers/external websites) and on the right side, Visitors went to, you see what is the next page on your site where a visitor went to after landing on the home page. As usually the numbers in this field do not addd up to 100%, it is assumed that the visitors that didn't click through further than the home page left the site. So in the end you see a message: Page exit ratio ( or bounce rate per page): and the rest of the percentage.

However, the most interesting stats appear when you select a specific target page in the Page field. Now the Page analysis statistics get updated for this page and on the left side under Visitor came from, you can actually see the previous page on your website, from where the visitor came from to the page you specified. In the section Visitors went to, you see the next page within your site that visitors went to after the page you specified. Just like in the previous example, the percentage of Visitors went to does not add to 100%, so it is assumed that the rest of the visitors that didn't click through simply left the site.
