Global Settings

The Set up Wizard takes you to the Global Settings screen.

(You may decide to fill in this form now or do it later, this window may also be reached through the tab Global Settings tab that you will find in the profile and settings screen.)

In this screen Logaholic will have to be instructed on how to connect to the database you are using.
As of version 2.5 Logaholic only supports MySql 5+.

For Database type: Select MySql

For Database name: You can supply a new name (recommended), such as Logaholic, or use an existing name.

For Database server: Supply the name of the server that runs MySql, if your Logaholic installation is on the same server as where your MySql Database is installed, "localhost" or "127.0.0.0" will do in most cases, unless you have specificly named your database location differently or if your MySql is on a different server.
If you are on a hosted website (virtual server), please inform with your provider what the name of the MySql server is.

For Database Password: Supply your MySql password, please note that MySql requires you to secure your database with a password, older versions may work without a password. We strongly advise you to allways protect your data with a password.

cPanel users may find some extra information on setting up MySql here.
